Saturday was our first 80 degree day and first time back on the water this season. It's been a long, cold and dark winter, but we made it, y'all! ☀️

I can't begin to tell you how good the sun felt this weekend. Just to lay out and bake, to smell the salt air, see the dolphins, and watch the pelicans dive bomb for fish was healing.

I've got that first base layer of a tan and some color finally, and I feel alive again!! 🙌 Happy longer days. Springtime is coming, friends. 🌷🚤🌊

There is nothing I love more than a local book crawl followed by a local bite! After getting lost in the shelves at @e.shaver_bookseller today, I found the most delicious spot at Abercorn and Liberty. 🍴✨

I can’t believe @belendelacruz_empanadas_sav has been here for a year and a half and I’m just now finding it. I had a Beef Empanada: So flavorful and easy to grab-and-go! 🥟, the tiniest Key Lime Pastry: a perfect zesty sweet treat 🍋 and Cold Diet Coke! 🥤

The variety is incredible! Fun fact: Founder Belén de la Cruz actually has multiple locations across Georgia. If you’re downtown, you’ve got to stop by and show them some love.

March 1st energy: Trading the winter blues for Key Lime hues. 🍸✨

After church today, we headed to the water to find some sunshine. It was definitely still "sweater weather" at the beach, but we powered through with seafood nachos and a Key Lime Martini. 🍤🍸 It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it! I feel for my friends up North still dealing with snow and freezing temps. ❄️

Come on, warmer weather and boat season... this girl is officially Vitamin D deprived & over it! 🍸🌊🌞🚤

🦈 WEEKEND RECAP 🦈

On our visit to Atlanta this weekend, we went to the @georgiaaquarium (we had both been before, but not in many years and never together). The adorable otters were our absolute favorite; the whale shark was a truly remarkable and massive creature and the dolphin show so entertaining! 🐬🐬🐬

In the late afternoon, we explored the fabulous Virginia Highlands community. @vahibooks is a quaint two story bookshop with creaky wooden floors that I'd love to spend a rainy day in! 📚

@moesandjoesatl was such a fun, ecletic bar - known for serving the most PBRs ever! Dinner at the legendary @highlandtapatlanta did not disappoint. Mussels in a dreamy cream sauce, prime rib for Kurt and the filet for me. Absolutely recommend! 💯

The locals said @alonsbakery was a must-visit, so we made it just 15 mins before closing time. I bought a cold bottle of Sancere, two of their famous cinnamon sticks, beautiful macarons and pastries, and a ready-to-bake chocolate chip pecan roll of cookie dough. The cheeses, breads and pastas also looked amazing! 😍
