Statesboro Herald food columnist and “Food Network Star” finalist Rebekah Faulk Lingenfelser has released her debut memoir, “Some Kinda Good: Good Food and Good Company, That’s What It’s All About.” The 283-page book is filled with recipes, restaurant reviews and more than 100 color photographs.
In Southern culture, sharing a meal is the pinnacle of community. From family-style meals at a long table to generational recipes scrawled on scrap paper, food binds us to our culture. Rebekah Faulk Lingenfelser knows that well, and she’s sharing both a meal and a story.

In an exclusive sneak peek of the 14th season of Food Network Star, Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis head to Universal Orlando Resort’s Volcano Bay for the premiere. There each of the 10 competing chefs have to concoct a portable version of their signature dish and find a way to convince guests of the theme park to taste it.
